Celtic... I'm afraid of what I'll find. He's not moving and I can see he slipped down in the bottom of the egg like when they die. I don't think I have the cahoonas.

I can't hear him pecking either.

My girls gave me four eggs today after giving me three yesterday! Less freeloading going on by the day.

Hubby called me at work to comment on all the "duck porn" going on in the backyard. Yay! Fertile eggs!!!

mine gave me 3 today mama girl layed a fresh one that i took inside this morning, and when i came back she was sitting on two other and wouldn't let me touch them, so i decided to let her sit

came back later to sneak store eggs under here and steal the good ones for us and my dog cam tromping out she ate them the little B&^%

guess it's back to training and watching her every minute for a while

I'm soooo mad! (and trust me, thats not too often)

Just called my bator people (GQF directly) and the bators I orderd about 2 weeks ago now, won't be shipped until next week, midweek! Can you believe that??

I cancelled my order. I'm going to the local farm and ranch to just get one of their forced air ones. (grr) I've got over 2 dozen expensive eggs on my piano, and my sweet baby goose eggs en route. I'm just gonna order my goose egg turner from ebay, and get it shipped asap, and hand turn a few days. Oh, and I'm gonna buy about 6 thermometers....OH, maybe I should bring ice water (w/heavy ice) and test them on the spot, and just get the good ones!

(ok, I'm gonna go breath now)

I think i need a hug.

Oh, and my stethoscope didn't pick up any sounds from my two good remaining eggs. They candled like they'd moved though last night, so maybe today. ((i hope))

I'm so sorry about your problem with GQF. The new Genesis models are pretty hot because of the bigger window. Mine works incredibly well and I don't regret choosing it.

We ordered ours from incubator warehouse. Perfect service.

Hi Celtic.

I skin the Khakis, and occasionally pluck a Peking, but only for Christmas, Easter, or Thanksgiving dinners. I guess I should save the down, after going to all the trouble to pull it. But becasue of the extra trouble I wax it off (way faster than hand pulling it). If the Toulouse geese come out for me, I'll probobly pluck its down, if I eat one, and add it to the Pekings, and make a pillow.

I don't know much about regular ducks, but Muscovies are horrible to pluck. I love eating them, but I'm just not willing to do the work.

Just fried one up, the meat is almost sweet & sugary like but tastes like a cross between turkey & chicken. BUT really tender & juicy!
Yep today is the day to downsize my chukars & guineas

Still NOT even close to Guinea!

Ok, something seems fishy with this seller... Tell me.what you think.

Hes on a different forum (not BYC) and he had really nice BBS english orp eggs for sale. So I messaged him, asked him how much it would be if he could ship me 6 of his eggs. And he said $45 my heart jumped all the way up my throat!...

So im like "..... Ok, how are your hatch rates with shipped eggs?"

So he says "quick note, 1/2 doz. $45 (shipping included with all prices) 1 doz. $65. 2 doz. $115" so im almost CHOKING! on these prices!

So then I asked him again how his hatch rates were on shipped eggs, and he said he wasnt sure what I was asking, but that I should just go with the 2 doz. Because he sends 6 extra with that order. So I said I need to hold off probably because im broke from buy duck eggs. ( ) and he said

"lol you dont need to tell me what broke is lol" ..... And Im like... seriously? Theres totally something fishy about this dude... Do you think its safe to buy from him?

Celtic, do you think I should just go with the seller you sudgested? This guy has nice pics, but insane prices! Not even SQ! Just "english orps"
