Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I'm so glad. this one is rather still, but the other is full of motion! Ill pop them in, they made it this far. did you pip for them? I think I will give them an extra day, but I'll pip w/i 24 hours of the others.

The pic is my baby, Julia.

Julia is a cutie. You have no idea how hard that was for me to type, had to do it 3 times. Fingers kept automatically adding an e in there.

Yes I did. I really think I didn't have to and they would have done it on their own, but they were the first to pip and later ones had started to zip so I got worried. One of the magpies and my little round snowy both came from those eggs. I helped both of them, the magpie was one of the first in the brooder, the snowy stayed in for 3 days. 1 day sitting in the shell, 2 days laying there before she popped up and started walking like nothing was ever wrong.

When the bubblewrap comes in should be fine. All I'll have by then is turkeys and woodie in, so lots of room.

alright . was just making sure.
if not i was going to pop the eggs in bator when 2 dozen pile up.
i will save yours . send you the freshest. and then pop others in bator (yes im going to try again. it was very rewarding. even losing soo many)
we will get paypal junk figured out closer to time. =)

CG: My mallards, which are smaller babies too, don't typically eat or drink til day 3. I would give them some food soaked in water. So like more water, than food.

Jazz- LOVE the pics. That's the gene I need! (choc)

Marty- I've had cells like that. And I've noticed some hatch, some don't. I know that doesn't help you any. I really think it's a 50/50 deal. You can just watch them closely and be there to help them out. Which is what you're doing anyway.
i tried that earlier. but they were totaly un interested.
but one is eating now on his own.

they totaly hurt my feelings i mean come on i spent 2 days helping you guys hatch and they are scared of me.
like really? did you imprint on a **** egg instead of me. how much closer to a mommy can you get!!

ok. that was my rant for the night lol.

They are rather ungraefull, aren't they! And on top of that, they are piggy little ducks, and untidy, to as insult to injury.

I have one egg that looks like that, too. How often should you look at it? You don't want to open the incubator too often and drop the humidity, right?

I'm having trouble getting my pics to upload, but here's a couple that I managed to get to work. How do they look?
