Had one egg slightly damaged but it didn't break the membrane so it went in the bator anyway.

That's where I got mine. Did she send you the German Magazine? LOL. Good read.
Anyway: Did you get any eggs that are round. Like... not oblong but smaller and round.

Evening all, someone catch me up for today please?
Busy day around here. Ducklings left, ducklings hatched, chicks left more EE chicks hatched, Sebastopols left, more hatched and in lockdown now. Bunnies left, and lots of eatting eggs. Tomorrow, more Sebastopols and ducks leave. Have to take 7 call ducks to be weighed Monday to ship this week.

My only news is I have 2 for 3 Sebbies with Veins. Do you have yours from Lisa yet?

Celtic, glad you made it through your busy day. Did your wrong end pipper make it? Did you get eggs from Erin? Marty got a surprise extra egg today too. Maybe we can all set eggs together after all??

Bakin, I do. The seller I got my most recent batch of cayugas has large pekins.

The Universe is off here too. I'll spare you the details.

It is like human babies.... some are born premie.... some are late... some are breach... etc. There are no set strict rules for when to stop turning or when to raise humidity. The babies tell us with careful observations.

Awwwww....... I just got a surprise package of 2 toulouse eggs from Erin.

Her timing could not have been more perfect after the day I had yesterday!

There have been a few precarious situations that ended badly. Almost everyone here has lost something this week.
Then an old man tried to burn Utah's house down.

The good news is.. Next week will be better.

Sebbie Update:

#1: Nothing.
#2. Veining!! (but smaller than number 3)
#3 Veining!!

Experiment:

#2 is smaller than #3. Just like Fiona was smaller than the one that died. So I have switched those 2 eggs. Maybe because they're on an angle... the one that is slighty higher up is getting a half degree warmer. Or something.

(My entire tray is at an angle.)

The Lucky ducky update -

He is improving. He is holding up his head some, and is trying to stand to walk. (flipped himself over once allready)

Sounds and looks like he may make it. In the pic, he has his little head up talking to me. He ditched his shell a few hours ago.

Yes Lisa's eggs are cooking right along, should see three eggs into lockdown from them.

Iain, YaY for surprise eggs all around. I am having to get creative for space with the unplanned eggs. Wrong way #2 didn't make it, but three more in lock down now.

Finally got our Sebastopol pedigree papers done and ready for when the goslings leave to their new homes. Took awhile to get good photos of all the adults and figure out the layout I wanted to use.
