Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Morning all..... Everyone is on a hold here it seems for hatching. The Sebbie and grey SB Pom are lively and playing though this morning.

Dutch so sorry about your horse, I hope he makes a full recovery.

Still congrats on the new gosling

Iain good luck to your up coming hatch

DG, yes the farm is full time not a hobby. You shouldn't be hatching eggs in a turner that is running. When it is lockdown time the turner should be removed, or atleast turned off.

Marty what a great surprise to wake up to. How are the goose eggs doing?

CG, adorable pics!!

Celtic, will you be around tonight? Is tomorrow going to be on the crazy side for you? I am keeping a close eye on one of my toulouse eggs as I am concerned it may not be turning properly.

The africans are on target for a late day 30 hatch ... and the toulouse look more on track for a day 31-32 hatch. Is this normal because the eggs are so much bigger??

Someone stop me... I feel a stress attack coming on over my toulouse eggs.

Morning All - Glad to hear of the goosie progress going on.

I woke up to a happy surprise today. I had button quial due Wed. night, but had given up on them anyway, becasue they felt so hollow. Well, woke up this morning to a non stop squick, and couldn't figure it out. There is one tiny baby button quail running around my bator right now. He'll have to stay there until after I get off work at one, and he's a day and a quarter late, but I'll take it!

Julia (tiny DD) is going to be so surprised!!! Pics later.

yay for tiny determand birds! btw... did you get the email?

Iain ALL of the Embdens took 32- 33 days to fully hatch... they started appox 188grams
does that help?

Sue... a little bit, yes. In the last hour, 2 of my toulouse eggs have made major progress towards internal pipping, so I moved them to hatcher. But I have a horrible feeling of dread that my 3rd toulouse baby is backwards.

the bsby geese look soooo goofy right now.
they have feathers on the sides. tail, bellys and on their wings(kinda)
so they have random feather spots that look goofy

Good morning, Kevin.

On the goose forum, Oregon Blues has been trying to get pictures loaded but is having a lot of problems. Would you mind terribly trying to help her get pics posted?

Thanks!!
