I have freed enough shell on African that he is trying to work his head free of shell now. I made more progress on the big Toulouse, but hit a vein in membrane, so quickly put it away for a while. Not sure what to do next, so taking a breather.

Very young. I got him from ChickenCrazy12. He basically just found out he has a Pee Pee.

Wish my drakes would get their job done! At least I don't have to worry about the problem we have at work. We get to deal with several muscovy drakes that want chickens as girlfriends.

Sad news from my workplace. Our LGD, Rex, has passed away from bone cancer. His sister, Rosie is still with us, but we are hoping to find her a new companion because she will be terribly lonely without him.

RIP, Rex.

We had a blue American goose hatch last night, just moved it and three more buffs outside to the brooder house.
So current count
9 new Sebbie
2 grey SB Pom
5 buff American
1 blue American
2 more Sebbie fully externally pipped and just sitting there peeping at me.
7 call ducks and 3 Sebbies to ship at the first of the week and more eggs into lockdown.

I think I might know where those calls are going

Hope your not tired of our new babies yet, but between their teeny tiny size, and they way out of proportion giant feet, I love this crazy little things.



Here they are trying to hide between DHs big fingers. I have tiny little hands, and wear rings sized 5, but he has man hands, for a good comparison. They are eating, drinking and pooping, so I'm a happy quail mama today. The girls are ecstatic, and love them immensely.

Kevin: It's the first time I've noticed this. He kind of chases her around in the yard and then gets over it, but I didn't think this was going on at night in the coop.

This duck would try to mate with a wet mop right now.. I swear.

Still chipping away at everyone, mostly African. I have removed enough that he has gotten wing fee and is pushing so hard to get head out that his body is starting to spill over the end of the shell. Hoping he can get out on his own.
