Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Fingers crossed for your daughter's button eggs safe arrival and development!!!!

I placed a gauge in bathroom to learn its environment and discovered my bathroom holds a steady temp (77-80) which keeps my temps stable in my still air, but my humidity is only 15-20%! So, I had hubby pick up a humidifier and plan to set it up tomorrow. I hope this fixes my shrink-wrapped babies issues.

CHICKENCRAZY!!! MY EGGS FROM PR SHIP TMW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got the email!!

About time! Hope you get a good hatch!

Hi SM! Do you have any new pics?

How are the silkies?
Today I got home and the silkies are pipped and fussing at me. Oh my! Also have pheasant and turkey due.

Our poor quail number three passed away last night.

LIfe is normal in the home of a hatcher.

Sorry about the quail.

As soon as the silkies are finished, or at least the first of the 3 pipped ones, I'll get a pick.

Little Julia is unhappy, but decided to use her allowence she's saved to buy more button quail eggs. She won some on ebay yesterday. Now shes praying that her new eggs get here safely. I'm glad she didn't lose faith. Now the pressures on mom to make the babies hatch, apparently.

I've moved my still air to the bator room, sine it was in a part of the room that gets a little air movement, and the temps ranged a big.

How sweet. I hope she gets some cute new babies.

It's been a while since I posted any pics of my oldest goslings, so here is No. 1 at 5.5 weeks, beginning the ugly phase.

OMG MY NEIGHBORS DOG JUST GOT AHOLD OF MY GOOSE!!!!!!! It is Sadie, my sebbie. I had her and the BEI's outside for a bit and was getting some water and I turned around and Newman had the goose. She is bleeding around the lung area and is breathing really heavy. I don't know what to do for her. We are keeping her warm right now. My hubby loves her too. this is the only bird of mine that he loves. W\HAT DO I DO!!!????????????????????????????????????????

It rang to voicemail, so I shot her a text. If she is not busy, I expect her to reply pretty quick. She may want a picture to help assess damage.
