Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I'm going to catch up, I promise. But I have a huge announcement!

Hubby finished building my hatcher! It's warming up right now, pics to come!!!

SM: I haven't caught up enough to know what happened to your Sadie, but I wanted to give you

Thanks GQ. My neighbors dog grabbed her and punctured her lungs. She was my Sebbie goose. My hubby loved her too

Well I am going to sign off for the night. I think I cried enough that I am tired now. I will be seeing some of most of my pekins leaving tomorrow. I think there will be 11 of them leaving. And then I need to get rid of 11 chickens. My Anconas will be hatching next week and then my Toulouse geese should be hatching after them.

Talk to you guys tomorrow sometime. Night all. Luv you all

Walked outside to put my truck away and could smell smoke. Went searching all over from the coops to the brooder house to the pool pump and AC units. Nothing here, but seeing on the news just north of us up I-95 is having a major fire that forced people out of homes and burnt one to the ground.

I hope it's far enough away not to be a threat to you? We have battled wild fires here all winter due to the drought.

We are on an Island, and it is just over the county line to our north.

On another note, it's 79 degrees out currently tonight. Will be happy to have the temps reduce some, just a little, for just a short while. Have three goslings that have to get to TX and they won't be going anywhere with these temps.

Pocket is slowly starting to resemble a baby squirrel instead of a rat. At least with her the ugly phase is over, she just gets cuter from here on out.

Ah, then you are safe! How big is your island?
We are enjoying some cooler temps at the moment...66 right now, but will drop probably another 10 before morning.
