Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I've hatched Ducks before, but it's been a few years. The eggs are supposed to hatch Wednesday the 11th. but some are already pipped, I noticed on 2 of them:
1st one I noticed had a dark spot inside the egg, candled it Sat. night and seen it had internally pipped. This one had a little bit bigger than normal air sac for it's stage. It is still rocking and peeping in the shell. It externally pipped about an hour ago. (10 am Monday Apr 9th) the dark line you see actually goes up and gradually fades. only one this side of shell. It's more of a spot, not half the egg. It's hard to describe.

2nd one I noticed where it externally pipped has a dark spot around pip. This one had a smaller then normal air sac for it's stage. pipped last night, I noticed it around 7 p.m. Sunday Apr 8.

both of these eggs were on the same side of the incubator one row from each other in the turning rack. I separated them when I put them in the hatcher and put them on separate sides.
Other eggs that have pipped I don't notice any dark spots in the eggs or around the external pips.

I guess my question is: what are these dark spots? Has anyone else seen this, how will it affect their hatch, and what do I do to prevent this in the future? Or is just a normal thing that I just don't remember happening in the past.
I'm guessing they are maybe blood spots or a ruptured vein?

My hatch day isn't today, but it just may end up that way. Thanks for any words of wisdom here.

but she is still determined to sit and i would like to have her hatch some

does anyone on hear hatch guineas? are they really hard or more like chickens?
Wish I'd paid more attention as a kid when Grandpa was hatching them! If I recall they were tiny stupid little creatures that would on occasion, drown in the water cuz they were too stupid to lift their heads up. lol Kinda sensitive. Like the turkeys.

Good luck QJ!

Thanks Marty. I'm getting ready to "do the deal". (eye roll) I'm tired of this.

Hope it works out

Does it look like dried blood? I've also noticed a purple/yellow/brownish color when they're starting to break through. I kinda think of it as a bruise on the egg.

PM jazz. I think she would have someone.

Guh. No inprovement in flippy or the 3 icu ducks. All 4 have bad legs

Oh no.. give them more time. My last flippy took 2 days. She would lay on her side, couldn't stand and would flop around.
