They're so cute! Is the poults injury on the feet or leg?
Ok, all caught up.
I can't get good pics of the poults because someone is always sticking their face in the camera, lol.

This is the one who can't walk right. I'm going to make bandaid shoes and see if that helps. Anyone have any other ideas?

This goose is completely upside down in the egg. I see a foot and the yolk sac where the beak should be. So I went a little further... I still can't find a beak. But it started moving more. There is blood yet to absorb but not too too much and the yolk is about the size of.. oh- a nickel. Maybe a little bit bigger.

thoughts anyone? Should I continue looking for the beak here in about 30 mins? I'm letting it warm up again right now.

Also.. this egg's outter membrane is super thick. There are 5 layers to the internal membrane. (yes, I counted.)

It was not shrinkwrapped, but the air sac membrane thingy was compressing it. So the movement I saw was it's feet kicking up.

Maybe see if it can turn around on it's own now?

It's toes are curled. I stuck a bandaid on the bottom of it's foot for now, I'm hoping spending the day with that on there will straighten them out. It's not walking now, but can stand up straight.

I think your doing all you possibly can. Being able to stand up defiantly a good sign!

Aw geez, what a drag. Upside down babies are soooo hard. I mean, its allready hard to find beaks when they are in the right place. Just perfect, something more that can be going wrong.

I know your gonna be awesome with this QJ. My goose is still absorbing his yolk too, but hes just hanging out, peeping occasionally, peeking out when I shine the light, and sleeping.

Julie's back!

I use a tiny rubber band and it gives it some leeway. I was out of bandaides at the time. LOL I'm always out of bandaides with all these imaginary human owies.

Oh, you have those too? My elder DD likes to use the super jumbo mega bandaids for the tiny cuts. Then when Dad hurts himself for real (and its usually Dad) there are only the tiny 1/4" x 1.5" ones. Yep.

I have 3 little girls. All I ever have are Dora bandaids, so no one but the kids usually will touch them.

Hey all! Don't have a lot of time to catch up right now.

We're having a disaster hatch right now. I think most of my runner babies died in the shells sometime during the night. :(

I'm going to be lucky to get 6 out of 19 eggs. No action on the bei's due on wed, but the goose babies are still going.

Cross your fingers for us!
