Iain as far as breeding pens, the more space the happier they are. Ducks will trample any space they are gone into nothing but mud though. Using landscape edging and filling it with smooth rock to set the baby pools on will lessen the mud pit around the pool. Same for your geese, except they will over graze an area and need a new space.
Housing for geese is reccomended at 4' high and length depends on pairs or trios. You can get away with 2.5-3' high for ducks. Just remember ventalation is very important, and secure doors/windows to keep out predators.

it is, she had gotten to the point where she doesn't leap out of their box and try to peck me in the head anymore when i go to refill water and food

the only one not scared of her is my 2 yr old daughter she wants to hold one of the babies so bad! she comes crying to me atleast once a day "mama nitni bite meeee! i hold baby nitniiii sob sob" but then goes right back an hour later a tries it (insert eye roll)
gotta love the determination of kids
 
Hmmm...I'm thinking I have a blue fawn and a grey...the bills are different, and the bit of fluff I can see is darker on the one. That's cool!

uhhh ohh hubby had to break out the broom the other day when i was trying to save one of the trapped babies! i have started turning the hose her way if i need to keep her out and do something
