Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

QJ, the babies look great! Love Fionas new big girl feathers.
I swear.. they are getting longer everyday. And Ferdinand is warming up to me finally. I can pet him now without him crying like a baby. lol.

oh and check out our crazy wild patterned Sebbies. these two are a hoot to look at.

DG just for you, our Lilac Ice American Goose (right)
You better have me on the list for eggs next spring. (do it!)

That spoonbill looks scary! But it sure is pretty. make sure no baby geese/ducks get near it, I don't think it would have a problem gobbling them up...

lol, DG spoonbills are super mellow. There are three out there today, will see if i can sit and get a face shot of them. Great birds to have around and they share water space well with the geese.

QJ, they are silly little monsters. We have a gander who begs for attention, then yells. Glad he is warming up to you. The Americans will be a blue gander with the above goose, looking forward to putting them together next spring.

Cant wait for September to see the feathering on everyone here. We are close to 30 goslings total of various breeds growing out. I have a few more being shipped to us yet this year too.

QJ they are very very pretty, very very territorial. Will run after ducks, chickens and geese (the sebbies wouldnt stand a chance with them). You would want to pen them seperately from everyone else. if they arent pinioned they can fly very well too.

OK good to know. I was kinda worried about that actually. I've heard they're way skittish. I might just stick with my Sebbies. They are so awesome.
