Three, Barred Rocks, Male or Female?

Oh goodness no my chicks dont look like that at all But I have seen lots of hatchery stock that looks horrible as chicks since I been on these forums lol. My birds are darker and have alot more sheen to them.

my hatchery stock chicks had white/cream spots on their heads, they turned out to be lovely ladies none the less- one had a very large misshapen white spot and still turned out to be a girl. Most hatchery BRs have white spots on their heads.

Yes most pure PBR do..........the shape of the head spot does help sex them , but its not a 100% more like 80+%.

Could tell by those pics those are not pure, then OP post they can from a lady with a lot of different chicken breeds .....REST MY CASE.

This is the second chick, Penny. Nobody could really see the white spot on her head in the other posts.

After seeing penny's headspot and looking at the pics again, I'm wavering a bit on the 2 barred rocks... the head spots are both very blotchy. Would you say the chicks look more grey, or black to you in general? It's hard to tell color in photos.
Where did you get the birds?
i'd like to see a side-by-side pic of ugly and penny.
