Three Month Old Chickens, Feather Loss

So I have eight three month old chickens. They all seem to be loosing their feathers, especially in their tails. The feathers are not getting pulled out because it seems like when they preen or just flap around the feathers just fall out. What is the problem? Am I doing something wrong? Can I give them something to help?
It kind of seems like a molt but are they too young for that right?

Before a chicken reaches adulthood, it goes through three sets of feathers. My guess is that your birds are simply growing in a new set of feathers. Provide good feed, and they'll be through it in a couple of weeks.
