Okay, the hatchery meant their strain of Red JungleFowl may have some differences due to the varieties of subspecies used in breeding them.

One of the differences they mentioned was Moss Green legs, which is derived from the Chinese Red JungleFowl.

Will be adding them to the project. Hopefully I can preserve the Eclipse molt trait, to have a unique survival breed that changes it's plumage after breeding season is over.

Hatching lots of chicks this spring, for the project, & to give to a friend.

Gonna separate a Malay pullet, the 2 EE hens, & a Cracker hen, maybe both for breeding next spring.

Starting with Crackers X Sumatra

Malay X Sumatra

EE X Malay

Sometime next month I'll be setting up my new prefab coop to separate hens for breeding. They need 3 weeks before I breed to the roosters, so I get the right chicks.

It seems like my youngest of my Malay pullets has started laying. I've been getting dark brown eggs with speckles. She's been being bred by the roosters, her comb, & face are bright red, & her vent is stretched, & moist.

First egg I got of this color was a jumbo, like I get from my Brahmas. Second egg I got today was of the same color, & half the size of the first.
