UGH!!! The waiting is KILLING ME! For the first egg(s). They are only 14 weeks so they have a while to go yet.... How old were yours when you got your first eggs?

My first batch had several black sex links and red sex links. They started around 16 weeks. My barred rocks didn’t start until 18-20 weeks. Since that first batch I haven’t bothered keeping track of who was laying.

A little over 6 months on my first egg. My mother thought the chickens were duds and suggested I eat them.

My red sex link started laying at about 20 weeks.
My Wyandottes were 21-22 weeks.

I am waiting impatiently as well! I have two black sex links and two buff orps. They are 17 weeks, and one of the black sex links has a large red comb and long wattles. The others are in various stages.
