A friend of mine raises OEGBs, and I decided I NEEDED some of their eggs to hatch. I was raiding his nest boxes the other day and found this:
That's a quarter its sitting on, to give you an idea of size. Old English eggs are normally small to begin with, but this thing is just a tad bigger than a jelly bean. I don't have the heart to crack it, so I think I'm going to enter it in our county fair and see if it'll bring us a blue ribbon for smallest chicken egg
Anyway, I figured I'd share with people who actually appreciated this sort of thing. No one else could quite grasp my excitement over a tiny egg
