Did he really say that?? Wow, that just touched my soul as I read it. That's why Honest Abe was one of the greatest and most liked presidents. Well, now that I hear this, he's my absolute favorite hehe, followed by Reagan who also seemed to have a big heart. Amazing quote, thanks for sharing that with me.

Live insects are probably not an option being that they don't sell that on Amazon. I'm in NYC so I don't really have access to those. Any particular seeds I should look for?

One easy source of live insects is mealworms, since they are the larval stage of the tenebrio monitor insect--the mealworm beetle and yes they are available on Amazon!

My blind quail still likes the ladies, so if he lives alone you should give him some lady friends. He can use all the normal things Quail like, such as a sand or dirt box, foraging for seeds and millet ( I leave a pile for him to stumble into), a bowl of water to splash around in, etc.
