Tips On Selling Eggs By The Road

I need some tips on selling eggs by my road. I put them out everyday in a cooler with a big sign above them for $2.00. For some reason I don't really sell any.

I'm hardly selling any as well. My thoughts are that it's because of the virus and people want the clean shop one's. I really don't know though.

People are crazy then. Do they know how many dirty hands touch those store bought things (I don't even call them eggs)

Post on Craigslist or your local Nextdoor app

Well, people like them already in the egg cartons. Also, make sure of licensing and stuff in your area, I know in the USA they can get really anal about that.

Also, people tend to be wary of people just on the side of the road, Pssst, I got eggs, you want eggs? How professional does your setup look? They don't know if they are fresh or what the story is on those eggs. What part of town you in? If it's next to the farmers mart or something then ok, people would expect someone like you, but if it's on the side of the highway next to an off ramp or something, they can be leery. WIthout seeing what's going on it's really hard to say what you are doing wrong... or right for that matter!

Edit: Print out a picture of your chickens, or one of them being cute, or your egg basket or something, get them talking or going awwwWW.... it's a segway to the sale.

I'm rural and there's not many laws here. Maybe living on a country road doesn't help.
