Tips on Shooting a Racoon

The first time I seen one was on "Where the Red Fern Grows" I think. Yeah they are definitely for one thing and one thing only. I use a live trap personally and dispatch at close range.

i got a live trap. threw a marshmallow in there, and the next day there was a big-a raccoon (a good 20 pounds! although i hear they can get up to 50 pounds here in the north.) I used the butcher's method, draw an imaginary X down it's forehead from the top of the base of it's ears, to the corners of the mouth. aim directly to the right of where the lines cross. Shot the SOB with a pellet gun and got him with one shot. his pelt looks very nice.
