i agree, she needs an Avian vet and you should never give a bird corrid without confirming coccidia.she is lathargic. she needs to get meds. could have parasites, or bacterial problem.

There is no harm in treating with Corid, even if it's not coccidia. It's a thiamine blocker, with no serious side effects. And if it is coccidiosis, delaying treatment for even just a day or two can be fatal.i agree, she needs an Avian vet and you should never give a bird corrid without confirming coccidia.
does she move around much? if not I would quarantine her, I clean more often then once a week for babies, I clean daily. including the dishes. check her for parasites, check her breathing, are the shavings you use pine or cedar? check for ammonia smells, is she inside or outside? I would keep her on her feed, add chick saver to her water and find a vet fast. don't self medicate because if the vet wants to put her on something it can be a problem.View attachment 1209644 this chick is 9 to 11 weeks old she is constantly closing her eyes and sleeping is she sick or just tired
i'm just going by what my vet said. There is no harm in treating with Corid, even if it's not coccidia. It's a thiamine blocker, with no serious side effects. And if it is coccidiosis, delaying treatment for even just a day or two can be fatal.
And a lot of vets use a broad spectrum antibiotic for treating coccidiosis, which isn't very effective for poultry. Vets don't always know what they are talking about.i'm just going by what my vet said.
