Tired of throwing away dirty duck eggs. Help !

Well, I guess we are back to eating the eggs. the chicken eggs just don't seem to have much flavor after eating the duck eggs. Thanks everyone.

Everyone I talked to tells me that ducks eggs have a weird taste that is why I throw mine out. After reading all these posts I think I will be brave and try for myself. Which way is best to prepare them? I'm going to be so angry if they are good because I have thrown out hundreds. I swear my ducks could be record holders. And they are cleaner then my chickens eggs.

The taste of the egg can depend on what the ducks are eating. I think they are richer than a chicken egg. Hubby can't tell the difference...he just likes that they are bigger than a chicken egg

My duck has a perfect nest with golden straw and warm shavings but she still would rather lay them in either mud, on a wood floor,in the feeder, or as she is running!

I wash my poopy duck eggs with warm/hot water and a scrubby side of a blue sponge.... no soap... and Yes, it is a dedicated duck egg sponge. We eat 'em, haven't died yet.. haven't even had upset stomachs.. though I admit that when I make cookies or brownies with duck eggs, we don't eat the raw dough, though we do with chicken eggs... i don't know why, it just makes me nervous...

Sunny side up, over-easy, scrambled ~~ whatever you like. You might consider mixing a duck egg & chicken egg at first. I personally prefer the ducks now~~! My husband did complain that they were a bit too rich for him when I hard-boiled some for sandwiches.

They are super for baking ! (and I don't like raw cookie dough regardless, but I like raw pie dough, go figure?)

Grips, if you don't like them, feed them to your dogs. Don't throw them away!
