Opposite direction AND not named???Notice anything wrong/different?
Despite the eggs having been mailed Wednesday they did not yet arrive. Tracking says tomorrow delivery scheduled. So besides fretting over conditions in warehouse this weekend where they sit I am now firmly in this hatch-a-long. Weather extremes are not as prominent an issue here in Ireland and distances less so I opted not to make the 10 hour round trip drive up to the North to pick up in person and gambled on shipping. Might be regretting this decision in a few weeks time.

I checked my duck eggs I saw no bullseye so I guess I have to wait.I will be adding my chicken eggs Tuesday. I picked a few up today and yesterday to add to the duck eggs. Anyone here hatch them together? I have read mixed reviews on it but I'm still going to try. View attachment 2021561
Hope you get some good eggs soon. I have had them together before and the ducklings do like to make a mess but I have never had sick chicks from it. Whatever ducklings hatch will be in with the chicks for the first few weeks then they will get moved outside because they don't need as much heat as the chicks. I make sure to have a pan in the brooder to catch the water and that really helps with the mess.I checked my duck eggs I saw no bullseye so I guess I have to wait.
I don't do chicken and ducks just because ducks need a bit more humidity. I know brooding them together is an awful idea because you can end up with sick chicks because ducklings love flinging water everywhere.
I'm going to grab some ducklings from the eggs that person wants me to hatch. I want runner ducks so bad!Hope you get some good eggs soon. Hatch day should be around 3/29. If Fizzgig makes it, it’ll hatch around 3/21.
All labeled, weighed and chart is done. Fizzgig lost a tiny bit too much, but not adding water quite yet. Rather dry incubate them all if possible. Humidity seems to hang out between 25% and 30%. Temperature with one egg in there was ranging between 97 and 98. It’s taking a bit to get up to temp with all 7 in there.
