Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

Pics
I've been douped by mother nature. The Sebastopol geese stopped laying after I placed my order so it doesn't look like I will be hatching any in March but that just encourages me to get on the ball and work out the details to do a thorough side by side incubator comparison with lots of chicken eggs! 😆

Eggs arrived intact just now! :yaResting fat end up until later tonight or tomorrow morning when they go into my Brinsea Maxi II Advance. Will be some mystery involved as the top box are Laced Wyandotte eggs. Ordered a mix of silver and buff laced but eggs not differentiated just labeled 'Wyandotte' on the outside of the shipping box so hatch day will reveal just what I have in this collection. The bottom box are Lemon Pyle Brahma. {PS I have labeled and numbered all eggs since photo so I don't get confused later on :lau} Looking on or around March 2 as hatch day if I am counting correctly. :celebrate

My husband said that I could get geese, now I'm just trying to figure out what breed I want.

Tons of gusty rain bands here in Kerry @dougieee.
More water to our already drowned region :thand wishing we could share some with Australia!! Mine have been hiding out under the new plastic roof we just put on their pen last week in the oh so brief dry spell looking longingly out at the field and imagining all the worms they are missing.

Its funny, i had a lot of cls timber left over from a job so i picked up some cheap corrugated plastic from B & Q, its pretty thin but ive got enough timber to build a good frame............ just didnt have enough time to build it before the wind and rain hit.
I swear ive never known us have so much rain since september, Australia is burning and we are sinking!

Aaaaand we're off! 6 Lemon Pyle Brahma eggs and 6 Laced Wyandotte eggs tucked into the incubator late tonight. Flashlight not the best so didn't mark air cells but 11/12 looked good and one seemed maybe a tad small and misshapen but it went in for now. Have ordered a new 2500 lumen flashlight that should be here by Wednesday but keeping my hands off the incubator lid until next weekend....famous last words, right???

If your turkeys are already laying, why on earth is it so hard for me to find Narragansett hatching eggs?
Because I addd lights in November to achieve babies now for DD's fair projects. Most places including hatcheries do not do artificial light for their turkeys so they have them when the turkeys lay naturally
