Sorry for the poor quality phone snap but just too excited to announce I have my first chick! This one appears to be one of the Silver Laced Black Wyandotte! Breeder didn't mark eggs so not sure how many of the black or how many of the buff laced I received and therefore no idea which ones made it into lock down. None of the other three eggs have pipped as of yet but this little one came early so I'm trying to be patient!

My postal service here is pretty good most of the time. I usually get updates live or a little bit late. Before it was "pending" meaning they had the info but no item, now it's been scanned at his post office ready to be dispatched to mine. I turned on mobile notifications so I'm not always refreshing LOL
Yes, I signed up for the text notifications, too. They're very convenient!

Edited for autocorrect craziness.

Decided not to be hasty and load the eggs in last night, better to collect today's eggs as well and do it tonight. Currently have 40, likely to get at least 5 more today, up to a possibility of 8. I want as many as possible since I'm sure this first set is going to have a lot of clears. I really SHOULD collect for 10 days, but impatience is winning out, lol.

I have the 2370 and the 1588 running, both of them new to me, so wanted to see where they stood. Both came up to temperature well and are hovering just a hair under 100F, so perfect. Humidity looks to be 51%, I'm pretty okay with that. Gonna keep an eye on it though, I don't like to go under 50% myself.

It drives me crazy when I get an email saying my package has shipped, when in reality, they have only received the shipping label info, especially when they don't actually receive the item for a day or two. :hmm

Have you signed up for USPS informed Delivery? You can do it on their website by just creating a login and choosing whether or not to get emails. I like to know when a package is coming and it has really come in handy for me.

Yes, Insignificant up for the text notifications, too. Their very convenient!

EDIT: lol, Nevermind, just read this.

I just edited my post. Autocorrect changed my "signed up" to "insignificant" For some reason and I didn't catch it.

Describe “fortune”... lol

My luck lately has been about as good as yours. Hoping it will turn around here in the near future!

Shipping emu eggs is difficult. Some people have luck, but the lady I get them through lives outside of the worst usps hub there is in Texas. If the box says fragile on it, I swear they throw it on the ground even harder. Wish they would catch the a**hats that do that.
Ya, my regular boxes always makes it all dented up and busted , I won't even try eggs through the mail from anywhere to tx either.. good luck hope the best for you.
