Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

It's day 3 for my Silkie and Showgirl eggs. I couldn't resist a quick peek. 8/12 are looking great! Perfect development and good aircells. The other 4/12 are much more questionable. One has some development but is behind where it should be. The other 3 still have very shifty saddled aircells. Little to no development on those. The plan is to candle again on Thursday or Friday (day 7-8) and pull the blanks.

Internal pip on one egg (salmon faverolles) in the Brinsea, but no movement or chirping.

The other 3 eggs are not internally pipped and I didnt see any movement.

😔

On the bright side, my other BCM is zipping and seems to be having a much easier time of it that the first BCM.
Did you give it some taps? It could just be resting. . .

I just made a big breakfast for guests and cracked twelve eggs and had two fertiles. Maybe something is hiding out developing in my incubator. :fl

I saw some of my olive eggs were fertilized and got excited until I realized they were a couple days old while the ones I cracked were yesterday’s and those were not. My husband has said he never wants to know if the eggs he’s eating are fertilized 🤣

1 week and 6 days ago we put 22 eggs in our incubator.
2 silkie
1 polish (possibly would be polish and Vorwerk mix)
6 Ameraucanas
5 Olive Eggers
8 English Orpington eggs
We candled them last Monday and 17 out of 22 were developing. These were the ones developing....
2 silkie
1 polish
5 Ameraucanas
5 Olive eggers? (We couldn't see if there was a chick in there or not because the eggshell was so dark)
4 English Orpingtons (Our Orpingtons have been having some fertility issues latly because their so fluffy!)
They are due to hatch March 16th! We are going to candle them again tomorrow!:)
