Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

Last chick hatched. It's a showgirl/cochin. It'll probably be frizzled too. So cute. I got 27 total but I don't remember how many I set. 9 of 12 shipped eggs hatched. 1 is still having problems but I'm happy with those numbers.

Final number from my Batch 1: set 36 shipped eggs, 26 made it to lockdown, 16 hatched, 61.5%.
Batch 2 is in lock down, due to hatch Wednesday. Started with 23, 11 made it to lock down.
The majority of fails had the worst air cells.

Here are pics of my babies that hatched last week. They grow up so fast. Any guesses on pullet or cockerel? The black one here is Batman, named by our 4 year old grandson. The yellow silkie/ee is Molly, named by our 6 year old granddaughter and she also named the grey one Silver.

What's the breed? White dot on head means male with certain breeds and crosses.

14 of my shipped Belgian D’Uccle eggs are on day 7. 10 are developing but most have wobbly air cells still. So nervous!!

In the other incubator I have another 24 Belgian d’Uccle on day 4 and about 20 Guinea Fowl on day 7.

From my last (first) hatch I’ve now sold all of my babies except the couple I’m keeping. Sad to see them go but they paid for my incubators and supplies.

Clutch 2 - D18 Update

My five eggs are all alive (and wiggling!). Their weights all look good, with average weight loss being 12.2%. I'm excited the kids will be home for this whole hatch to watch!

Day 14 on my refrigerator eggs! Halfway 7 still kicking eggs for now. I wish I had hatching duckaluks right now as it would be a great distraction. But I have candle pics! Thei air cells aren’t growing big enough through so I lowered the humidity a bit.

What pattern is this? This is the coolest chick I've ever had. It follows me everywhere. It's from the February hatch a long.

I don't even know how it got it's coloring. I want to keep it if it's a Pullet.
