sorry for the poor quality. This little one hatched this morning. Our first silkie chick. And of course I have a question, another egg looks like it maybe hatching and if so, it is face down. I don’t see any other pips or zips. Do I open the incubator up and turn it right side up or leave it be? I don’t want to mess up the temp or humidity but don’t want to lose a baby.

I haven't had any issues when chicks pip on the underside of an egg. This is normally only a problem when experiencing issues with high humidity.
The pip location is based on which side the air cell was drawing down on. Other chicks also kick them all over the place regardless of orientation and it haven't caused an issue. Your little chick may actually roll the egg for you, lol.

Oh. my. gosh! They're so sweet!!!! I LOVE the Golden Sebright!!! One day I'll manage to get some hatching eggs for them!

I have 3 of them I think. I'm happy because HeiHei was a silver sebright so maybe I can get another cockerel but gold.

So here I am hatching these chicken eggs, planning on duck eggs after. Then I look at our local feed store chick season ad and find out they added a new hatchery they’re ordering from. And I instantly start planning where I can put more ducklings. Thanks for enabling me, feed store.

D16 and 11 eggs are going good, it's getting pretty hard to see in a lot of them, one I wasn't too sure it was still viable but a second candle I finally saw signs of life. I may give them another candle on D18 but I don't think I'll see much.
times going by fast since I have the flu (not Covid-19) so I have been chilling on the couch watching movies or sleeping a lot

Now there are 2. No idea if the second was the upside down one. I can see 2 more pips.
