Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

Wondering if I should put some of my ducks eggs in the bator. I've never seen the Drake mate but I haven't been home.

I want Pekin muscovy cross chicks because my muscovy Coco is so dang gorgeous!

She's a chocolate muscovy and the coloring in her wings is stunning. I didn't clip her wings so she flies everywhere, but she knows to stay home

I'm in! I have 4 Cayuga duck eggs in the incubator. I'm going to add chicken eggs in a few days. Good luck everyone!

lol, I was just responding to your post in last year's hatch-a-long and saying you should join us in another since you refilled the incubator. Glad to see you here! 😁 I can't wait to see those ducklings!

I was going to hatch some and may still if my laced Orp cockerel starts doing the deed. But I did a thing! My feed store said they’d add whatever I wanted to their order so I ordered some Valentine’s Day Chicks!

Salmon Faverolles
Silver Spangled Spitzhauben
Cream Brabanter
Welsummer

i ordered 2 pullets each. :)))))

My toddler found a catalogue with polish chickens on the cover and he won’t stop talking about them. Couldn’t get any sexed polish, but think these guys may all be flashy enough to suffice!

does anyone free range polish and not lose them to aerial predators? That concerns me with their eyesight.

I haven't managed to keep any of the Polish I hatched yet but they will be free ranging with the rest of the girls once I finally get one! Most people give them hair cuts when free ranging so they can see better. They're hilarious birds to watch! You definitely need some. :D I'm going to hatch more Polish this year once the breeders are laying, along with the long awaited Silver Double Laced Barnevelders that I've been waiting since last year to get!
