Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

Pics
Because I addd lights in November to achieve babies now for DD's fair projects. Most places including hatcheries do not do artificial light for their turkeys so they have them when the turkeys lay naturally

I see. Makes perfect sense. Patient I must be...

Help. I had to help the duck hatch because it was shrink wrapped and sticky and this is what it’s shell looks like after. Is it going to survive

I'm super late to say anything helpful on this. It looks like the little one was still absorbing some of the yolk sac. Did it absorb everything ok?

I'm picking up 3 dozen duck eggs tomorrow 😁 I cannot wait. I cleaned out my bator last night now I'm going to set it all up for the duck eggs so it's ready tomorrow.

The eggs are runners, mallards, and Pekin. I hope there are some mallard crosses. I asked them what breeds their male ducks are but I'm waiting for a response.

Hopefully I can get my hands on some runner ducks
