Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

I need a few ideas on how to keep chicks separated in the incubator at hatch. I have my own eggs and eggs from my mama. I marked them but I would like to keep them separate from my own to know what hatches out of her eggs. Im using the little giant incubator. Any ideas?
yes create a small "pen" with craft mesh...or put one of the groups in a mesh bag.

I got baskets from Dollar tree and flip them inside down over the eggs. It keeps the chicks inside.

You can also keep them right side up and put the eggs inside

I don’t think it’s a blood ring since I saw movement in all brown eggs. But here are the pictures just to share. One came out blurry so I deleted it.

Did you see movement when you candled? I don't readily see anything wrong with this egg. Veins, air cell, and chick are all still visible but sometimes you can tell somethings off when you're holding an egg that we might not be able to see in an image. I would put a "?" on the egg and check again in a few days.

Yes, when I candled I saw movement. The pictures are of two different brown eggs. On all 3 I saw movement. Not just small movement but actual swimming looking movement. I guess because it looked dark at the top I assumed it was a blood ring.
