Today* is day 18. I will candle them tonight and if the air cells aren’t looking good can I start my lockdown tomorrow? Or can I start it now, but not increase humidity until tomorrow?

I will remove them from the egg turner today. Should have done it by now, but it’s been a busy morning.

I would take them out of the turner and just wait to increase humidity if you feel the air cells are still small.

May 3rd if all goes well. I ordered a set of water wigglers to put the sensor in and if it works well I'll order a few more for the hatcher too.
