Even though my Cougars (stealing the kids word for them) are a touch old I just looovvve their colours! Even my husband appreciates them on a sunny day. You can see their pretty wings in this photoView attachment 2043235
They are just gorgeous! I love that emerald iridescence. My husband says they are weird because of the egg color :( but I think the eggs are beautiful, too. Maybe I should explain to him that they get more whitish through the lay period lol.

Ugh that’s not what I wanted to hear. 😭 What are the next steps.

I'm looking for a good article for you. It's going to be a matter of you straightening the leg and actually moving the tendon back into place then wrapping it with vet wrap to hold it in place. I was not successful with the one I had. He grew up to be a beautiful rooster that hopped around on one leg...mine was due to an injury though and the swelling was so severe I couldn't see the tendon to move it. Hopefully you will have much better luck!

yep, I had read a similar article and thought that was pretty cool. :) This one you’ve linked to is more in depth, going to hang onto that! :D
My issue is that the brain was outside of the skull and almost completely closed outside of it. Teeny little opening in the top and a pendulous brain hanging out on the outside... :S Talked to my boss (who is a large animal vet) and he wasn’t sure why that might happen either. Not sure if birds can have a hydrocephalus condition? Or maybe my thermometers were out of whack so development was skewed? Guess I’ll be calibrating those suckers again. 🤦‍♀️ Not sure what else to do but check them and try again with fresh eggs...
Maybe just a defect and nothing to do with incubation. Weird things happen sometimes. 🙍

Yeah I’m crossing my fingers. I should just let him rest in the dark in the bator until he is dry right? I really appreciate you looking for an article. I’m going to keep reading tonight as well and I’ll take action in the morning.
