Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

Hello all I still have my two cuties going strong. 4 are left to hatch it’s nearing the end of day 22. When should I be worried or candle? No internal pips. The babies were bumping into the eggs in the incubator before I took them out. I hope it didn’t hurt them. I’m getting so impatient it doesn’t seem that there’s any movement and I haven’t candled so idk if they internally pipped

No harm in candling if there aren't external pips and when they start to get late I would candle anyway.

I’m over here losing my mind over this Olive Egger. I want it to hatch so so badly. It’s my only OE. It has been pipped since morning and I can see in the hole and it’s squirming around in there and I’m convinced it is stuck and can’t zip. Ugh. View attachment 2050243

I would probably investigate...I'm thinking about checking on my chick that started to zip a little bit and stopped. I just don't usually see that.

So are mine but if you look real close you can tell or at least I could. Do the olive eggers have feathered legs?
I took them out for a foto op. The oe has clean black washed legs and a straight comb. The fee has clean black washed legs with maybe a peacomb. It's a bit of a sticky chick for some reason.

Ooooh, ok, that's early. Nevermind.

Yeah. But I mean 2 are hatched as of this morning...it’s only a group of 5. How would you go about investing when it’s just a pip? I am inclined to check things out soon since this past week I had 2 die after pipping because they couldn’t get out and I only waited until day 21 in the afternoon to try to help and I was too late.

I'd give it a solid 24 hours from when it pipped. If it's real pip through the aircell, and you can see beak, it *should* be just fine hanging out.

Ok I will wait until the morning then and sit on my hands lol. It’s definitely a real pip. It’s putting up a fight in there. I’m not always seeing beak but I can see some of its down and sometimes beak. It’s just acting differently than I’m used to. It’s not in there resting or working on a zip. It’s just wiggling around.
