I wouldn't. The bacteria is probably already in them just waiting to be incubated.
Good point. The only egg I lost in the last hatch was the cracked egg. It made it all the way to somewhere between day 15-17 though.

I lost an egg in feb hatchalong late because of bacteria in a crack.Good point. The only egg I lost in the last hatch was the cracked egg. It made it all the way to somewhere between day 15-17 though.
Ditto! First timer who started with shipped eggs and learned a lot from this great group as I worked through a dismal hatch. The second attempt is with 6 eggs I went and personally picked up last weekend from a breeder in County Cork. Just candled them for the first time [learned to sit on my hands better lol!] and all 6 are developing!!!! Cheers to all who share so willingly of their knowledge.Haha thank you so much. I don’t know what I’d do without you awesome people on this thread. I have learned so much in the last couple months. Shipped eggs probably weren’t the best to start my hatching experience with, but hey, I learned a lot, and have gotten some really awesome babies out of it, as well as some awesome internet friends.
Honestly the more I read about it, the more I'm inclined to think that they pretty much are the same thing. Just cultivated differently, resulting in wildly different flavor. I have brewer's yeast for making lactation cookies, but I'm no longer breastfeeding so I dont need it for cookies anymore...although I did like the slightly bitter flavor it gave the cookies. Sounds weird, but it was yummy.Until today, I thought brewers yeast and nutritional yeast were the same thing.
The cracked one looks less scary to me than the hole one. Would you lose the whole hatch if it went bad or would you just lose that egg?Hmm, what does everyone think about these two eggs? I literally just did an "undesirable egg experiment" and I'm not sure if I should try a couple different methods of sealing and still set these two eggs or if I need to give myself a break, lol. One has a hairline crack but it does appear to go through the shell and there is some slight discoloration leading me to believe it leaked a bit. The other has an actual hole going in to it but doesn't seem to be actually leaking.
I set the other eggs in the Nurture Right 360 that I just finished sanitizing after the last hatch and it will hold 22 eggs...is that like a sign I should leave these 2 eggs out??? I technically could put them in one of the other incubators until I remove the infertile eggs....ugh, decisions, decisions.

What do you all think of the veins on this one? Need more time? I tried to look in the pointy end to see the yolk but there wasn't much empty space to see anything.
The slow showgirl/cochin has internally pipped so I'm hoping it'll hatch on its own.
