D21 for my Broody Judy. It looks like she stepped on one of the eggs where the air cell is (miraculously?). It is NOT a pip. I can actually see into the air cell and the chick is not even internally pipped, but it is alive. Should I sit on my hands? Should I make it a breathing hole just in case? Agh!

Nothing yet on her other two eggs.

Can you snap a picture without disturbing your broody? If it's bad I would probably put that egg in an incubator to monitor and sneak it back under her at night after it hatches.

That's what I was thinking. At least it's not the middle of the night like the last time.
They were DIS. Looked like fluid in there. I didn’t go any further. I added water during lock down as the humidity had started to drop. It had also gotten to high at one time.

I've left the egg with her for now, we are headed out to get some more supplies in case more states follow suit with the shelter in place orders. My in laws are high risk for covid19 complications so we are making sure they dont have to go out at all for the next 6 weeks. Luckily their freezer is full, they just need some other basics.

I digress.

I will check again when we get back. She has got to be the calmest broody hen in the world. I can lift her up, check the eggs, and she will set back down on them no problem. I will take a picture and see what you guys think. If the chick doesnt make it (I hope it does, though!) she still has two eggs that should make it. And worst case scenario, I have lots of chicks I can sneak under her lol.

Buffy Orpington, who will be named "Buffy" since I name all BO that.

BCM/BA hatched earlier in the week, they are kinda mean to the other chicks. I have them in a separate box with a screened window.

My blue Andelusian is photographing lighter than she is, light blue. But not splash.

Your legbar look female to me! :love :woot

Checked my Icelandic eggs last night (d14) all alive and wiggling (as much as they can now that they’re bigger!). Silkie eggs are also doing well, 7/7 viable and developing. They’re on d12 but some of them are going to be early bloomers I think... I’m trying to get my old styro bator set for use as a hatcher but it’s being miserable. 🙄 duck eggs may have to wait a bit. Or be turned by hand... hmmm...
