I love chickens.....that's why I come here. Not because I like drama. Now we all need a shoulder to cry on once in a while, or some vent time but we should find positive thing to say, (like you are too good to put up with him/her/neighbor, hold yur rights but not you should get your neighbor back thing, fix his little red wagon, etc...). Better example for the younger ones on the board.

I agree, and as the media puts BYC out there to the public, we are going to have some of this negative stuff by people coming in here thinking it is "one of those sites" that allow rudeness. All we can do is say, "ey guys clean it up. This is a family forum and we need to respect that! "

My mother taught me just what you have said, If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.

If a poster is asking for your opinion then by all means give it to them in a civil manner. You don't have to attack them personally to get your point across. It seems a few members have not out grown the bully days of school. Just keep in mind that your tone of voice cannot be heard so you have to watch choose your words carefully.

The REPORT button is very handy for these situations. The mods cannot read each and every post made. Sometimes, the really rude and crass behavior needs to be pointed out.

Then they can decide what to do, or not do, about it. That's why we have Moderators on BYC, to keep it family friendly.

Yes, I have reported some things I thought should not be here. Sometimes it goes away or gets locked- and sometimes, the mods choose to leave it be, and I don't go to that thread again.

My point is that no one should be afraid to hit Report- you won't be punished for making a misjudgement. Just think about it before you do, decide if it is only offensive to YOU, or is it offensive to the BYC community?
