i have a 1.5 year old Peking duck who has had a chronic infection in his knee joint for several months now. After several visits to the vet, we are now looking at amputating his leg. He has been on antibiotics and meds for the swelling.

I'm wondering if anyone else has done this and what the outcome was for your feathered friend.

I am so sorry to hear this, sure hope he can come through surgery fine I know he'll make it on one leg seen a few on here who have had one legged ducks. Doesn't seem like many options if the infection can't be cured. :hugs

You might ask @Miss Lydia or @DuckLady what they think. Both of them are real nice people (and they don't bite)

Edit to add, She beat me to it!
