As chicks, that is exactly how all 4 looked. Exactly. Tan Beak was all black until the feathers started coming in. Even the leg coloring was within JG coloring. View attachment 1811755And then I saw this pick of a rooster listed as a BJG and it only added to the mystery!

That is definitely a mix. Jersey giants have single combs; this rooster has a pea comb. The tail shape is wrong, and no JG has that much color leakage, unless they were some sort of project color, which this rooster is not.

Yeah it kind of does look like brown leghorn but the comb seems small

I'm guessing she's a black sex link or BJG mix. Not a leghorn, the color is all wrong.

Looks like a black sex link pullet to me. I had one that looked exactly like this. She was super friendly, the flock leader, and an overall nice bird.

I just read back and noticed she was from a feed store. Probably more likely she's a BSL, then.

Definitely black sex link pullet. They look similar to JG chicks when they’re chicks. She should be a sweet tempered marvelous egg layer.
