WHat she needs to hear is that there wouldn't be domestic violence hotlines and shelters in every state if this wasn't a huge problem. So she needn't be embarrassed or too proud to seek help. This is his problem, not something she created or caused, so get help sooner rather than later.

Ahh sry misunderstood

Yep, I believe so. OP mentioned it was her husbands boss, and Ohio laws weren't great for domestic violence issues. I looked it up for her to show her DH's boss. From what I read, Ohio law will back the woman. She just has to find the courage to do it.
