Hey all, it needs to the Organic apple cider vinegar, like Bragg's or Spectrum or other organic brands. You can find them in the health food section of your local grocery or a health food store. Don't bother using the regular apple cider vinegar found in the oil/vinegar aisle of your local grocery. It does nothing beneficial for the birds, you need the Mother that's found in the organic apple cider vinegar. I also use it from day one, just hatched out some bcm's last week and they went straight on the nipple waterer filled with water/ACV. Good luck and this stuff works awesome!

I'm curious now about the pullet/cockerel ratio.....definitely has me thinking. I have some of my own lav ameraucana/EE eggs due to hatch this week, dying to see what comes of it!

Oh, before I forget, I use 2 tablespoons of ACV per gallon of water. Or for a quart waterer, I use a teaspoon of ACV.

Yes it 1 tablespoon per gallon and I know some peaple use 2 per gallon.I get mine by the gallon from amazone.com I just ordered some and it was 14.99 plus .99 cents shipping.Best deal yet,and it does have to have the mother in it(thats the sedament in the bottom of the jug or or bottle) you need to shake it very well before each does as the mother goes to the bottom.
