I have the parents and will add their pics. Some of them were born with 5 toes like a Houdan but they look tolbunt . A few also aren’t showing crests (just not grown in yet possibly, I’m not sure.) Ideas because I am lost. Possibly a throwback from something that was breed into the line? The parents do not have 5 toes btw. I added pics of the chicks with 5 toes as well as pics of some of the other chicks without. They were hatched from either the smooth rooster and frizzle hen or the drizzle rooaster and smooth hen (so no frizzle with frizzle.)

Could be a genetic fluke but if it were just one. But if several as showing the trait they likely got another breed in their background. They may have been crossed to Houdan to improve their genetics, or to improve their beard and/or crest at some point. If your going to save back some for breeders don't use the ones with 5 toes. Also Polish should have slate legs so that's something else you would want to breed for.
