Tolbunt Polish

Pics
Are those the ones they had on Ebay this year? I saw the listing but thought it was Tolbunt roos over houdans & orloffs.
Keep us posted on how they turn out!!

I got them from somebody who's from the Polish Breeders Club. I'm also hoping to get another pair or trio from Robert Singer down the line to add to these. I already have a couple of his bantam Polish and think they're adorable. :)

I would sell a dozen for that! Ha!!! Sorry ...couldnt help it-but come on!!!!

Shoot two dozen! Thats rediculous if someone would pay that amount for 6 eggs!

That looks like a 4 doz price to me ;) Heck- I'll throw in my splash blue Tolbunt hen in for that too..... of course I already gave her to mom- so I can't now.....

I gotta wonder if they sell them- they have 1 Jubilee Orp egg for $275...... or you can buy a chick from Greenfire for $199....... I don't get it....... I thought Greenfire was on the highside- but at least you know what you are getting- and they guarentee the chicks.

I got chicks from greenfire and have been very pleased. I went to their place about an hour from where I live and was much impressed with the people and the place itself. The birds are well kept and the pens were super clean.

Why so specific a number? Why not $500? Or is shipping included? I mean gee the price itself is outrageous in my opinion, especially with blues included, with the fact that there is no evidence or gaurantee that these are quality birds especially in color, but still, weird price unless shipping is included. Still, that's about $83 an egg.

Also, some of the info doesn't add up - Polish killing chicks without mercy once hatched from their own set clutch, really? And, started from the stop stock in the world? I don't mean to really pick apart, but, from what I always hear the Tolbunts we got first imported and from what all the current ones in the US stem from, are in fact not the best quality. And most from what I've read had a lot of Orloff bred into them too. I don't think there's US stock out there that can beat the other countries, especially Europe where the color was born. I don't know personally, but I've got a good hunch.

Sharon- I'm honestly not trying to knock GFF- I like what they do..... I was using them to base price off chick price compared to egg price at this place. When they get their imports in I plan on getting some offspring of those- I'm sure their price will be higher than the current flock's chick price.

3 doz is probly more correct- I've gotten lucky with getting "cheap" prices with the Tolbunt eggs I've gotten

I put my eggs in the lockdown\hatching bator last night- they are due to hatch on fri & sun (2 groups) I keep looking at the bator anyway knowing they won't hatch yet :)
On a sad note- dropped one about 6" and it has cracks on the shell- no leaking- but not sure it will be ok. It's from my split pen- so only a 25% chance of Tolbunt color from that pen.....

I wonder that too! 518 is an odd number!

The eggs I got from you went in the hatcher bater last night- still 13 of them! They are due Fri!
