Julie, don't you dare leave Abbey. You never know what could happen and worst case scenerio, you could lose her and the puppies if she has an emergency with no one there. Make sure your hubby has a solber person drive him to and from the party, but he just has to understand that Abbey is your priority until the puppies come, then he can have some of you.

I know this might sound goofy/corny---but, ask your husband what he would do if you were pregnant for the first time, with more than one, on bed rest, and in early labor, and there was a Christmas party coming up---would he leave you to go to the party, or would he stay home with you. Considering the timing, your husband should be able to understand that you would have Abbey on your mind AND that you wouldn't be able to have that good of a time because of worrying about her being in the first stages of labor. Tell him you'll be waiting for him when he gets back with something for the both of you (you're grown so you know what I mean).
