Tomorrow is the Big Day .. ** TWO IS HERE **

Are you sure the mucus was not her water breaking? Please find a vet who will sonogram or xray if she does not deliver soon. Keep us posted!

I had several 'false' pregnancies with my dogs.

They got milk, but never had the type of pre-labor mucous you are describing.

I would hold them in my lap, with their 'butt' in my lap and their backs to my stomach - their legs facing out and their head by my head. Then put one hand on either side of their flank, and wait patiently - that's how I would check for fetal movement.

Hope you don't have to wait TOO much longer!

Have you been taking her temp regularly? Especially her first morning temp before she goes out. It will normally be between 101 and 102 degrees but shortly before she goes into labor it will drop to around 98-99. It's a pretty accurate way of judging labor/birth.
At this stage in pregnancy I'm really shocked that a vet couldn't tell if there were for sure puppies or not, you can often feel them very obviously moving and wiggling around, even if there are only 1 or 2.

OMGosh, Julie, I did not know for sure that your Abbey was pregnant. I hope everything is okay. There is such a fine line there ......do you take her to the vet, or do you wait and see. I hope she just goes ahead and delivers those puppies. At the first sign of contractions, give her vanilla ice cream or yogurt. This will help if she has a sudden drop of vit. c, she will just lay there. Good luck and let me know how she does.

My Abby is doing well. The puppies have been all sold since they were a week old. Crazy. Everyone is getting them on Christmas Eve. They are so precious. Abby is already trying to wean them. They are eating puppy food and drinking water by themselves, so she is trying to get some freedom.

Abbey goes to a vet - there are somethings I am able to treat at home like minor booboos and teeth cleaning, ear cleaning etc... but when it comes to having babies I have a vet for that - well today we are limiting how much outside time she has - only going out to go potty and get some playtime with the others but only for a few minutes at a time- she has had breakfast and is sleeping on the couch now - she has a vet app. friday with a new vet( really hate changing vets ) but want a second vet to take a look at what is going on -
this is the plan-- wait till friday since she did have the mucus drip, if she has the pups great but if nothing happens she will keep her app. at the vets we are going to x-ray her, if pups look fine and everything is safe vet might let her go one or two more days - if not abbey will be givien a shot to " force " labor to start and hopefully she will have the pups on her own - if at the x-ray pups look like they are dead then we will have a c-section to remove them and have her " cleaned " out of any tissue that might have been damaged from the dead pups -

I am praying that we will not have to go to the vet - I am really hoping she will have them on her own here at the house - I really hope DH miss counted and her due date is really this sat - he really is not sure since he forgot to mark on the calender the day Abbey and Wally did the deed.

*** UPDATE ***

I FELT MOVEMENT -- I FELT MOVEMENT

Abbey was sleeping on couch and I stuck my hand under her bellie ( so the weight of her bellie was on my hand ) and I felt movement so somebody is in there moving around - called vet ( the new one ) he said that is great news - wanted me to check her milk which is really coming in now ( she looks like a cow LOL ) it is still a cloudy milk color but it is really starting to flow now when you give a little pinch - and she is doing a little " nesting " with her blanket - to bad its on my couch - we will have to have Abbey rethink this having pups on the couch thing LOL
Vet thinks DH miss counted her due date and since this vet has not seen Abbey yet - without checking her - he seems to think we are right on the right track and since there is movement there and Abbey is showing no signs of stress he really thinks everything is going to be alright - just watch her for now.
With most preg. dogs milk shows up at least 7 days before puppys arrive ( normally ) so lets hope my DH is a goober and miss counted LOL

I dont plan on going anywhere today so me and Abbey will be home together so I can watch her.

I'm so excited for you! Two aunts of mine and one cousin are huge boxer people (I myself am a German Shepherd freak, lol) so boxers are pretty much a big deal in my family, haha. I hope everything goes well and keep us updated. You seem to very doing a very good job with her. Good luck (and post pics!)
