Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Oh my gosh! Why the heck haven’t I been getting notifications on this thread?! I was thinking today that it had been awfully quiet and just looked and there’s 7 pages since I last checked. I just enjoyed reading them and catching up on everyone’s hatches!!!!

Same thing happened to me. Thought maybe it was a glitch? But only 3 pages to read, not 7! I am a bit out of it though. Was rear ended yesterday and was in the hospital for a few hours. But still didn’t get notifications while away.

Wondering how does someone take care of lock down and emus if they hatch, while they’re taking muscle relaxers? Hmmmm....

Nothing from the emus. E2 is supposed to hatch tomorrow, but have a feeling it’s not alive

I so wanted to see the emu baby too! Was ready to share photos with everyone. Still have E3 who is supposed to hatch Fridayish.

The guy that hit us was drunk. We were coming to a stop and the guy plowed into us going 50mph. Didnt slow down, use brakes, etc. We were riding dirt bikes for the day and had our cargo trailer behind us with the bikes in it. Trailer is a total loss.

Hospital said I have severe whiplash. But nothing is broken. While in the ER my daughter called and said one of our adult chickens died. Found her under the roost in the coop. Not a fun day! Is it wrong that I’m more sad about the chicken than the trailer, our damaged truck and my neck?

Yikes, what a terrible day for you! I'm so sorry for your loss but thank goodness you're ok!

Oh no hope you are okay. I would probably be more upset over the chicken too but I love my girls.

Thank you. Hoping to be normal in a few days. Have 49 chimkens about to hatch! Must get ready for them.

I will be opening the first emu egg tomorrow. Both sides were cold, which is not a good sign.

I have been turning my eggs a different way this time. I couldn't put my turner in. Instead of individually turning them all, I put a basket over the eggs and I move the entire basket. It's working! I used the basket so the chicks that just hatched didn't trample over my eggs, I basically made a cage for my eggs. I can't use my turner because I did a staggered hatch... Honestly I love doing a staggered hatch even though this is my first time.

Hoping I have one of my polishes eggs in the bator ready to hatch next week I really want one of her chicks.

Also HeiHei my silver sebright has mated with my chickens because the ones that just hatched are grey or silver in color. Squatch can't throw that color with any of my hens so I know it's HeiHei. I am so excited to see the eggs that hatch next week!

Welcome my eggs are day 6 this afternoon for one batch and day 1 for the other. Staggering my hatch so I can add eggs as I get them. I only have 3 girls currently.
