ok, Thank you for the reassurance. Ive never had an egg pip and zip on the skinny end of the egg. That is the beak. Don't worry, at this stage it's fully ready to hatch. If it gets stuck, all you need to do is just finish popping the egg open. You won't hurt anything.
On another note...do you guys ever sleep or are you on 24/7 as little helping hatching angels?Whatever the case may be, Im grateful

Hows the chick now?Well a couple mins later I went to take a peek and he’s opening and closing his mouth now.Mind blown.
I was hoping that mine would hatch soon, but I don't see any that are trying to internally pipe yetThat's one of the great things about taking part in a hatch-a-long though. You'll be hatching alongside people of all different levels of experience and no matter how many times I've hatched chicks, every single time I'm in a hatch-a-long I feel like I learn something new!

Plus these should all be silver chicks because my silver sebright is the new top dog here.
They'll surprise me I'm sure. The little chicks were all excited to see me. We are going to put them out in the shed today in the corral so that they have way more room. I'm glad I bought that brooder plate, it's amazing. I might go buy another one!At least you get to be home to watch them hatch! ...even if you're not entirely sure what day that's going to be. lol
