This is our first hatch attempt. I just started our incubator at 10am this am (2/7/2020) with these orpington breeds/colors: chocolate golden laced, partridge, and buff splash. If I did my math correctly & everything goes as planned (chicken math proves this is incorrect). We should have feb chicks! I hope we can partake in this hatchalong. We also look forward to your advice & tips. CAN'T WAIT FOR FLUFFY CHICKS!

Seriously, what a night! Regardless of the outcome it was a great learning experience and I’m so so grateful for all the support here.

I missed the alert that this thread had been posted in and now I'm way behind!

I set three more eggs. ko shamo this time, on the 5th, so those are coming along. The one survivor from my first batch of Liege Fighters is in lockdown and due on the 9th. The second batch is doing well, eight of the nine are still coming along; one quit last week, unfortunately.

Here is a close up pic. I haven’t seen a beak. Newbie dumb question coming up...can they sometimes kick their way out of a shell? Looks like a foot. But I can hear loude

That is the beak. Don't worry, at this stage it's fully ready to hatch. If it gets stuck, all you need to do is just finish popping the egg open. You won't hurt anything.
