Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

I wanted to get the Maxi as well but I went ahead and jumped on the Mini advance since I was able to get it for less than $100 including shipping and even the scratch & dent mini advance was $169+shipping. If I love it I'll start keeping and eye out for a deal on the Maxi advance and that very well may complete my collection of incubators, lol.

After I hatch the goslings next month I'm going to get myself together to do a thorough side by side incubator comparison test. I'll probably still include the hovabator too since it gets recommended often and it has an upright turner opposed to the others all being horizontal.

I started out in Polish almost exclusively and then a really fun (NOT) thing happened--my farm partner texted me while I was literally going through the TSA line on the way out to Colorado for a two week vacation with the kids. She told me she just couldn't do chickens anymore and basically sold all of the breeding stock I had cultivated and paid for out from under me. She did not offer or give me any money for it, and then proceeded to keep some of my equipment she borrowed. Absolutely devastating--but in the moment, my husband just told me to let it go. I had to, but it still stings. I'm now in the process of rebuilding, and hope to have a nice assortment of Polish again by the end of the year. Keep me in mind!!

I'm so sorry you had such a terrible experience! I hope that your able to build your new flocks better than ever with all those lovely little Polish! I'll be keeping you in mind as well if you plan on selling hatching eggs! I actually really struggled to find any Polish hatching eggs other than Buff Laced last year and in the end I didn't even end up with a pullet, lol. I'm going to be trying again this year though!

I have an internal pip. Hurried into lockdown. Still 3days to go according to the bator. Only two e ggs alive, I sure hope they both hatch. They are in a Mini II advance. I would be afraid to get anything larger or I would be overrun with ducks.
