So the kids made Deviled Eggs for Turkey Day and showed me something odd. About a 1/4" of the tip of the egg whites were missing after being boiled. They didn't mess anything up or peel the eggs badly, the tip of the egg was missing on several eggs, like there was air in there were the egg whites should be. Any thoughts or is this just a normal thing for boiled eggs?

All my hard boiled eggs have a noticeable air sac void as I purposely set eggs aside to age several weeks before boiling. Makes for easier peeling!
LOL! :gig Was talking with my parents about the air sac void an hour ago and my Mom said the exact same thing.

Wants to know.....which end of egg is the 'top'. :gig

Kidding....air cell is at fatter end of egg.

I only boil them if I forget to use them when they're fresh 😂
