after a while, i turned to cindy and said we give our birds away compared to these prices. wow, need to find out how to get some mass buyers to nh swaps

In all my swaps MA people pay crazy money for birds. My last swap my neighbor sold a pair of banam new hamshires for bucks

Guess you'll need to grow out some layer pullets for fall as well as spring next year.

Also a good place for extra roos too.

No The Brockton Swaps :)

we did the brockton swap twice i believe, is that a fairground>? if i remember right

I think the reason for Mass. people paying crazy money for poultry is because a lot of them are city people with high incomes, who buy houses "in the country" and then want to start their own backyard chicken flock for fun. You know, they read Martha Stewart "Living" and see the pictures of Martha with all her pretty birds.

Trust me, there are plenty of us in Mass. who don't have that kind of money. We don't pay crazy money cuz we don't have it. My father is a New Hampshire farmboy from Woodsville!

Anyone know what happened to gypsy? I saw her yesterday morning and she said she was headed to Topsfield soon, but I didn't see her there. I think she would have enjoyed it!
